Lami Grubb Architects LP in Pittsburgh, PA has an opening for a full time Interior Designer.
The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree, in Interior Design or related field such as Interior Architecture, and at least 6 years of experience working in an architectural firm as an Interior Designer. This is a senior position overseeing other interior design staff.
The work includes many types of commercial and institutional projects, retail and restaurant projects, custom residential, medical, and assisted living.
You should be a quick-learner, and eager to take on responsibility. We are a fast-paced office, so you must be an organized person, and good at multi-tasking. The quality of our work is very important, both from a design standpoint, and accuracy of our documents. You will typically be working on many projects at one time. Your role would include: design and layout of interior spaces; finish selections; client presentations; client maintenance; interior drawings and specifications; furniture specification, selection and coordination; overseeing staff for maintenance of our interior library; keeping the firm up to date on current materials.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a must. Revit, and other 3-D software is a plus. NCIDQ certification is preferred.
LEED accreditation also is desirable.
